Faculty Speaker Zoom Event
Topic: How Artificial Plant Life Could Wipe out Poverty
Meet Professor Daniel Nocera
Daniel G. Nocera is the Patterson Rockwood Professor of Energy at Harvard University and a leading figure in renewable energy science. Formerly at MIT, he is best known for founding the field of proton-coupled electron transfer (PCET) and using it to invent the Artificial Leaf and Bionic Leaf systems, which enable artificial photosynthesis to convert sunlight, air, and water into fuels, biomass, and fertilizer. His Bionic Leaf technologies far exceed the efficiency of natural photosynthesis and offer sustainable, distributed solutions for energy, agriculture, and food production, particularly benefiting resource-limited regions.

Professor Nocera joins the Harvard Club of Vermont to discuss the possible impacts of his Artificial Leaf technology in solving poverty globally. We are thrilled to welcome him!
